Critera A2

Criteria A2: Driverless cars

"It will really change society, very much like the transition from a horse to a car”, a professor of computer science and electrical engineering said towards driverless cars.
This portfolio is going to look into the technology available in driverless cars. They can make driving so comfortable and relaxing. Theoretically, it can lead to cutting deaths by 50%, reduce congestion, and cope with blow-outs and obstacles on the motorway.

Driverless cars use technologies to help it drive itself. They consist of sensors, navigation, motion planning and actuation. Sensors tell the car what it is surrounded by, navigation tells the car where it wants to go, motion planning helps the car to get through and avoid traffic, and actuation operates the mechanics in a car.

But driverless cars have an issue with reliability. They haven’t been proven affective on the road and it is very hard for people to put their lives in the hand of machines. Something mechanics might go wrong and that can lead to serious injury or death.

The other problem with driverless cars is the control it takes away from drivers. The car and aftermarket industry is very big. People have grown to like driving their cars and making faster, more powerful and better looking. A large amount of people truly enjoy driving and handling their cars. It pretty hard for them to leave it that easily.

My portofolio will address the problem of smart cars. Smart cars have many problems and the main one being reliability. Cars can't see small bumps, animals, and any dangerous materials on the road and that can end into serious enjury or death.

My First Stock

I chose CISCO as my first stock. It's realitivley cheap for a start at about $26 Dollars U.S. It produces the most and by far the best internet routers in the world. The internet is increasing and improving significantly and it will be one of the best industries in the world in the past decades and for the oncoming decade. And everything realted to internet, I'm talking about internet pherepheries such as; Routers. So I think it would be a good stock to invest in.
